@Roy Thanks for the good wishes, much appreciated and right back atcha/ It's always a revelation to me to hear how many creative people -- even those who seem to be cranking out the work basically troublefree -- experience, battle and sometimes successfully manage their own personal version of background noise. I think it sort of goes with the territory. ack!

@Mary Thank you for the heads up, hope it is working okay for you now. Thank you to for the good wishes. Hope you find Reptitude useful going forward.

@Doug It's funny but based on that descriptuon you seem so proactive, and you actually have a plan and you are working the plan, so maybe it is an inverted joke to call it "Someday" ! :)

[...] Move to a Dark Cave Some of us will run away and hide from the world and or as Maisel puts it, “violently withdraw from life” so that the necessary creative solitude morphs into a destructive and unhealthy situation, a dark place. This is a particularly bad answer because it leaves you stuck smack dab in the middle of your own mind – still waiting to create instead of doing it now. [...]

Well written Barbara! That's just what I needed to hear. It's consoling to know that other writers feel the same way. Best of luck with your creative endeavors!

Ah - we just named our new property "Someday" because it is our someday - our someday gardens, our someday studios (partner and I each have our own) and someday life together. And I'm now taking 1 day a week away from writing to do some other creative things in my life. You're right - unless you create the time - it ain'ta gonna happen
