The instruction was: cover this page with white things. So I did. (This is week 5 or 6 of the Wreck this Journal game, depending on who’s counting.)
White paper textures. White lettering. “SMILE” and white-on-color logos. White slippers. A newsprint map to White’s. The whites of an eye. Toilet paper roll – plush white. “A SNOW DAY” and a white feather. A white daisy and a perfect white dandelion puffball. And a white-tailed monkey, a white puppydog, and a matched pair of white Adirondack chairs. A white house as “home” icon. Spare instructions in black and white. White and red postmarks. White and black bar codes….white lettering: “mist” and “POSSIBILITIES” and “eclipse” and “VOX” and “GIVE” and some more vaguely related white things.
I would have added a bit of white paper doily, but we didn’t have any. I did use white glue.
Last but not least, how could I resist popping in the beckoning cat “Maneki Neko” of folk lore for good luck.
WRECK ON!
